Budapest String Quartet(1833-1897)
The Budapest String Quartet played from 1917 to1967 during which time not only did the personnel change but the location moved from Budapest to Berlin, London and then to the USA. In these recordings the presonnel are:, 1st Violin: Josef Roisman; 2nd Violin: Alexander Schneider; Viola: Istvan Ipolyit; Cello: Mischa Schneider; plus Alfred Hobday (viola).
