Barry is an archives consultant with many years experience of archive, library and restoration services for film and audio. Has a track record of solving retrieval problems related to unusual formats, especially where engineering solutions are required. Barry's wide experience in the research of transport and related social history subjects has resulted in him supporting film research on many projects.

Over the years many customers have called on Barry's archiving skills including National West Bank, The Royal Navy, BECTU, British Railways, British Waterways, London Transport Museum. Barry's technical skills have been called upon by The Machine Room, TWI, Sanctuary Group, BMG, Thames Water. Barry's research skills have been used by BBC, Granada, Carlton, among many others.
