Eastbourne Buses

2006 Eastbourne Buses face a competitor

In March 2006 Eastbourne Buses faced compettiton from a new operator Cavendish Motor Services Ltd who operated Dennis Darts on two services 10 ASDA to Old Town and 11 Hailsham via Stone Cross to Old Town. There was a flat fare of GBP 1.00. Eastbourne Buses responded by rebranding route 1/1A as the "Cavendish Connection". Over the next two years Cavendish expanded their operation and increased their fares. There can be no doubt that Cavendish was a nail in the ailing Eastbourne Buses coffin.
