Extending the Bluebell Railway North from Kingscote towards East Grinstead

Beverely Heasman, East Grinstead's mayor visited the extension of the railway North of Kingscote on 29th October 2003.

80151 is the first engine to travers the extension. The Mayor is flanked by the two chairmen, Graham Flight (Bluebell PLC) and Roy Watts (BRPS). Capt. George Nickson looks on from the footplate. After the ceremony the Mayor returned to Kingscote station on the loco footplate, under the care of Driver Ian Wright.

Meanwhile the Mayor of Croydon was opening Go Ahead's new headquaters for South Central Trains. The two railways will meet when the Bluebell arrives at East Grinstead.
